Hannes Webhofer
is an Austrian/ Canadian Internationally certified Mountain Guide who fell in love with this beautiful island, relaxed lifestyle and the incredible opportunity for climbing 20 years ago and has since made Kalymnos his summer home. Hannes dedicates his time here to climbing, guiding, bolting new routes and rebolting existing routes to ensure safety for the climbing community. His work includes hundreds of new routes, many new crags and several multi pitch climbs. Hannes’s work reflects his extensive knowledge and commitment to the spirit of climbing on the island and you will notice his name mentioned often in the Kalymnos Climbing Guide Book. He’s a well known character around town and can often be found laughing and sharing stories with fellow climbers.
